You Are NOT Alone

You wake up on a warm morning, the sun's shining, the birds are chirping, and it looks like its going be a blissful day, right? Wrong. Waking up this Tuesday morning I felt like doing anything BUT  enjoying the sun, the breeze, and the birds. All I wanted to do was lay in bed. And I did exactly that until  I dragged my feet out of bed, and finally began to get ready, only to return to my bed 20 minutes later. I just couldn't do it.

I KNOW i'm not the only one that has these days. And to me, that's somewhat comforting. I think that too often we look at everyone else and see the perfect life, they just seem to always have it together. However, behind their closed bedroom door there are tears, heartbreak and hurt.

I guess what i'm trying to say is that we're not that different after all. “Barbie”, who sits two desks next to us in Chemistry and all the boys crowd her at every waking moment could be absolutely broken. I mean honestly, you really NEVER know. Too often, we just put a smile on our face, and go throughout the day. Then as soon as we get home, the tears come. We put on that smile because that's what everyone expects from us. But I want you to know, its alright if you're not okay. Its alright to admit that you're struggling in life. However, I applaud you for keeping your chin up and smiling, because honey, that smile is the most beautiful thing you could wear.

With this being said, try to remember that at the end of the day, were really are all on the same team here. So be careful of the things you say to, and about someone. You never really know what's going on in their lives, and your ignorant opinion could make things a whole lot worse. So when someone acts, or reacts differently from the way you would, don't place automatic judgement on them.  Try and give the benefit of the doubt.
